Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)

Good morning and happy Tuneback Tuesday!! So there’s a little background about this week’s Tuneback… My father is in a Bee Gees Tribute Band called STAYIN’ ALIVE (Right?! How awesome is that?!) and every summer for the past 9 years they have performed at Epcot Center for Sounds Like Summer. I’ve been lucky enough to see them perform at Epcot for the past 5 summers, but I’m not there this year. So it’s only fitting that this week’s Tuneback is “Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)” by the Bee Gees. It’s a fantastic song and one of my favourites by the Brothers Gibb.

ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE: January 1976

TRIVIA: The group did not perform “Fanny” live because of the layers of harmonies used to create the studio recording. Maurice Gibb once claimed in an interview, “We all love that one, but it’s just a bitch to sing”.

BONUS VIDEO: Check out STAYIN’ ALIVE performing “Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)” at Epcot Center back in 2013.

See you next Tuesday!!
